The Journalism major at Carpathian University is among the most popular in Ukraine

Vasyl Stefanyk Carpathian National University ranked ninth among Ukrainian universities in terms of the number of applications submitted for the specialty “Journalism”.

This year, 583 applications were submitted for a bachelor’s degree in this specialty at our university.

According to the Unified State Electronic Database on Education (as of August 30, 2025), we are among the top ten higher education institutions where journalism is in the greatest demand among applicants. This confirms the trust of applicants in our educational program, which combines modern training standards, a cross-media approach, and a practical focus.

In general, the specialty “Journalism” in 2025 was among the 15 most popular specialties in Ukraine: 19,925 applications were submitted for it, which is 30% more than last year.

At the same time, the total number of applications for bachelor’s degrees also increased – by 22 thousand.

We are proud that Carpathian University is among the leaders of journalism education in Ukraine. This once again proves that our university remains an attractive educational center not only for the Carpathian region, but also for the entire country.
