Stefanyk Open Day for the Iron Shift!

On February 20–21, Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University once again welcomed the talented, inquisitive, and ambitious Iron Shift into its walls. Over the course of two days, 60 students from all over Ukraine participated in a rich program of educational trainings, scientific master classes, and interactive quests.

“This time, the participants began their visit to our university with an interesting training, where, together with associate professors of the Department of Finance Tetyana Solodzhuk and Tetyana Myhovych, they mastered the basics of business planning in modern conditions. Working in teams, they learned to analyze, plan, and create their own business models using the LEGO construction technique. This allowed them to better understand the principles of entrepreneurial thinking, develop teamwork skills, and a creative approach to solving business problems. In addition, the participants presented their projects, received feedback from experts, and learned to effectively argue their ideas,” notes the event coordinator Nelya Dolynko.

The second day of the program was held in an atmosphere of science and educational innovations: the Faculty of Education conducted a training on artificial intelligence, and also talked about how to develop emotional intelligence in the digital age (Taras Paska, Maryana Dereniuk, Oksana Kobyletska, Tetyana Potapchuk).

The Faculty of Philology taught the basics of media literacy, including critical thinking, information analysis, and recognizing fakes in the media space (Galyna Vasylkiv).

The Faculty of Physics and Engineering introduced the participants to the physical aspects of radiation safety (Volodymyr Kotsiubynskyi, Volodymyra Boychuk).

The Educational and Scientific Institute of Arts presented the basics of applying design in interior planning (Oleg Grabar, Roman Petriv). The Center for Innovative Teaching Methods demonstrated augmented reality – from molecules to planets (Lilia Midak, Olga Kuzyshyn, Khrystyna Buzhdyhan).

Special thanks to the student mentors who made this event possible: Olga Poznyak, Veronika Bushkova, Andriy Bunyk, Viktoriya Vyklynets, Viktoriya Voznyak, Nadiya Klykaylo, Anastasia Kohut, Maryan Khudyk, Yulia Vorobchak, Iryna Matsapula, Dmytro Savchenko, Diana Kaminska, Ulyana Mazuryk, Olga Lekhitska, Maryana Matsola, Sofia Pechynoga, Anastasia Bilan, Vsevolod Sokorchuk, Oksana Boyko.
